Big House Christian Academy was founded in 2022 by Brandon and Natasha Brady—born from a simple conversation and fueled by faith, obedience, and a lifelong passion for Christian education.
From the time she was just three years old, Natasha Brady knew she was called to be a teacher. Whether playing school with her grandparents or teaching her younger brother to read at the age of six, her love for learning and helping others learn was evident from the beginning.
At nineteen, Natasha was part of the first cohort to graduate with an associate’s degree from Coastline Community College’s new online program. By twenty-two, she had earned her bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in English from Cal State University, Chico. Even before graduating, she was hired to teach at a small Christian school in California. That first year turned into several more, as she taught kindergarten and first grade while earning her teaching credential through Cal State Fullerton’s Cal State TEACH program.
In 2011, the Brady family moved to Arizona, where Natasha spent a year teaching first grade ELL students at Arizona City Elementary. Not long after, she discovered Logos Christian Academy in Casa Grande and felt at home in its Christ-centered mission. While teaching at Logos, Natasha earned her master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
In 2014, the Bradys began homeschooling their own children. Natasha also taught online through Alpha Omega Academy and Sonoran Science Academy while consulting part-time for Logos. This season of homeschooling and mentoring would span eight years—laying a strong foundation for what was to come.
In early 2022, a comment from her pastor’s wife planted a seed. Within six months, Big House Microschool was born—operating out of the Brady home and originally partnering with Prenda. On August 1, 2022, thirteen students walked through the doors, including the youngest three Brady children.
But God had something more specific in mind. By the end of the first quarter, it was clear to Natasha that the school’s mission needed to be distinctly and boldly Christian. Prenda was no longer the right fit—and so Big House Christian Academy was officially established. That first school year ended with 17 students, two teachers, and an aide. Word spread quickly, despite zero advertising, and inquiries began pouring in.
In 2023, the Bradys approached their church—Victory Baptist—for classroom space. During the 2023–2024 school year, Big House Christian Academy expanded significantly, earning full accreditation through the National Association of Private Schools and launching its athletic program with the Canyon Athletic Association.
Today, BHCA continues to grow—only by the grace of God. The Lord has faithfully brought every student, every teacher, and every supporter through our doors. This is not our school—it is God’s school.
We can’t wait to see what He does next.
