Welcome to our Junior High!
Our 7th–8th grade classroom is designed to provide a rigorous, engaging, and Christ-centered learning environment that prepares students for the academic and personal responsibilities of high school and beyond. Students are challenged to grow academically, spiritually, and socially through strong instruction, critical thinking, meaningful discussions, hands-on learning opportunities, and individualized support. With an emphasis on leadership, responsibility, character development, and a Biblical worldview, students are encouraged to think deeply, work diligently, and develop both confidence and independence while strengthening their relationship with the Lord.

Our 7th–8th grade students use academically rigorous, Biblically grounded curriculum designed to prepare them for high school success while strengthening their faith and critical thinking skills. Students use the Abeka curriculum for history, science, and language arts, providing strong instruction rooted in a Biblical worldview with an emphasis on reading comprehension, grammar, writing, literature, and analytical thinking. For math, students use Saxon Math, which focuses on incremental learning, continual review, problem solving, and strong mathematical foundations to help students develop confidence and mastery in mathematics.
As part of our Bible program, students participate in a six-year Bible rotation designed so that students who attend BHCA from 7th–12th grade will read through the entire Bible during their secondary years. This intentional approach helps students develop Biblical literacy, a deeper understanding of Scripture, and the ability to apply God’s Word to everyday life.

At Big House Christian Academy, our 7th–8th grade classroom is designed to provide a rigorous, Christ-centered environment where discipleship is intentionally woven into every aspect of the school day. As students transition into young adulthood, they are encouraged to deepen their personal walk with the Lord while growing academically, socially, and spiritually. Through strong academics, Biblical worldview integration, meaningful discussions, leadership opportunities, and intentional mentorship, students are challenged to think critically, develop strong character, and live out their faith with confidence and conviction. Our classroom fosters responsibility, independence, servant leadership, and spiritual maturity while helping students build lasting relationships, strengthen their identity in Christ, and prepare for high school and beyond.
Elective classes are held on Thursdays. Students get to choose 2-3 electives, depending on their schedule.
Students have the opportunity to study both Spanish and sign language, helping them build communication skills, cultural awareness, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for connecting with others in meaningful ways.
Our fine arts program encourages creativity, self-expression, and confidence through opportunities such as art, choir, Bible art journaling, and drama, allowing students to develop their God-given talents in a Christ-centered environment.
Students engage in hands-on STEM learning through a variety of interactive projects and enrichment opportunities, including cardboard engineering, automotive learning lab, building challenges, problem-solving activities, and other engaging experiences designed to inspire creativity, innovation, and critical thinking.
Seventh and eighth grade students can play sports on our high school teams.
We believe some of the most meaningful learning happens beyond the classroom through hands-on experiences, creative enrichment opportunities, and joyful community events. Throughout the year, our students participate in educational field trips, helping bring classroom learning to life through real-world exploration. Students also enjoy special on-campus enrichment experiences, including activities such as drum workshops with Casa Grande Drum Academy and woodworking classes. In addition, we love creating meaningful memories through family movie nights, princess tea parties, holiday celebrations, and other community events. Students also have opportunities to participate in Christmas and Easter performances that help build confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a love for worship and the arts.
