At Big House Christian Academy, discipleship is woven into every part of school life. We want our students to know truth, love Jesus, and develop a faith that lasts a lifetime. Chapel and our Christian Life practices help create a school culture where students grow spiritually, build godly friendships, and learn to live out their faith daily.
At Big House Christian Academy, Bible is a core part of daily life and learning. Students in grades 7–12 participate in daily Bible classes designed to help them develop a strong Biblical worldview, deepen their personal faith, and grow in their understanding of God’s Word. Over the course of their middle and high school years, students work through a six-year Bible rotation that takes them through the entire Bible, allowing them to gain both a broad understanding of Scripture and a deeper knowledge of Biblical doctrine, Christian living, apologetics, and discipleship. Our goal is not simply academic Bible knowledge, but helping students build a lifelong relationship with Christ and confidently live out their faith in today’s world.
Our goal is to grow in Christ together by discussing Biblical truth, reflecting on how Scripture applies to real-life situations, sharing prayer needs, praying for one another, building godly friendships, and practicing encouragement, grace, and accountability in a Christ-centered community.
At Big House Christian Academy, faith is not reserved for chapel—it is woven into every subject and every part of the school day. Students learn to see God’s truth reflected in math and order, science and creation, history and God’s sovereignty, literature and virtue, writing and communication, and relationships and character. Through natural Scripture integration, teachers help students recognize God’s hand in every area of life and encourage them to grow both academically and spiritually.
At Big House Christian Academy, students gather each week for a time of worship, prayer, and Biblical teaching designed to strengthen their relationship with Christ. Chapel includes Scripture reading, worship music, practical age-appropriate messages, and opportunities for student participation in prayer and leadership. Our goal is not simply to teach the Bible, but to create meaningful space for students to personally and authentically respond to God’s Word.
In addition to chapel and Life Groups, BHCA provides meaningful experiences that help students grow in their faith, deepen friendships, and develop leadership.
Each November, Big House Christian Academy high school students attend the International Baptist College & Seminary Youth Retreat—a spiritually rich, high-energy weekend focused on deepening faith, building community, and encountering God’s Word. Students experience powerful preaching, Christ-centered worship, small group sessions, fellowship with other Christian teens, opportunities for personal spiritual reflection, and fun, memorable activities. For many students, this retreat becomes one of the most meaningful and transformative highlights of the school year.
Every Labor Day weekend, high school students from Big House Christian Academy attend Grand View Camp STEM Camp, where hands-on learning, outdoor adventure, and a Biblical worldview come together in a unique and memorable experience. Students participate in science and engineering challenges, hands-on experiments, outdoor exploration, teamwork activities, and problem-solving opportunities while seeing Biblical truth integrated into STEM topics. The atmosphere is fun, active, and deeply encouraging, helping students grow not only academically, but also in confidence, friendships, and appreciation for God’s creation.
TeenPact Leadership Schools is a Christian leadership program that equips students to understand government, engage in civic responsibility, and grow in their faith. Through hands-on experiences, leadership training, and Biblical teaching, students learn how to communicate effectively, think critically, serve others, and make a Christ-centered impact in their communities and beyond.
At Big House Christian Academy, students have opportunities throughout the year to attend or participate in Christian worldview conferences designed to strengthen their faith and equip them to think Biblically about today’s culture and challenges. Whether traveling to conferences or hosting special speakers and events on campus, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of God’s truth, develop discernment, and confidently live out their faith in the world around them.
Throughout the year, students at Big House Christian Academy also participate in service projects, outreach events, opportunities to serve younger students, and character-building leadership activities. Through these experiences, students are encouraged to live out their faith in practical ways while developing compassion, responsibility, leadership, and a heart for serving others. Our desire is to cultivate students who love God, love others, and boldly reflect Christ in their daily lives.
